July was an exciting month at ABH Construction! We wrapped up a breathtaking custom home, broke ground on bold new builds, and launched remodeling projects already transforming the way our clients live and love their homes. Every project reflects our passion for creating thoughtful, lasting spaces that bring each client’s vision to life. Check out what we’ve been up to!
PROJECT SPOTLIGHTS
Finished Project: James Custom Home
We’re excited to share the James Custom Home, a modern farmhouse that perfectly blends timeless charm with contemporary style. This beautiful 4-bedroom, 2-bath home features crisp white board and batten siding with sleek black shingles for standout curb appeal. Inside, warm wood tones and dusk-colored cabinetry create inviting character throughout, while the spa-like primary bathroom with its soaking tub and spacious walk-in tile shower offers everyday relaxation.
In Progress: Patterson Custom Build
Location: Cottage Park Community, Morganton, NC
What’s Been Completed: Site Work, Footings, Foundation, Framing, Rough-Ins, Roofing, Siding, Insulation, Drywall, Painting
Estimated Completion Date: Early September
Currently underway the Patterson Custom Home is shaping up to be a stunning residence. The exterior showcases a beautiful mix of blue board and batten with lap siding, complemented by gray shingles and a striking copper metallic porch roof that adds unique character and curb appeal. Inside, the home spans two stories with four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a dedicated office space. The homeowner has selected a range of unique and beautiful finishes that promise to make this home truly exceptional.We’re excited to bring this vision to life and look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses.
In Progress: Graves Kitchen & Bathroom Remodel
Location: Conover, NC
What’s Been Completed: Demolition, Framing, Trade Rough-Ins, Drywall, Paint, Flooring, Cabinetry Installation
Estimated Completion Date: Mid-August
Work is underway on the Graves Remodel, and the design choices are shaping up to create a clean, modern space with warm, natural details. In the bathroom, the client selected black circular tile for the floor and wood-toned vanity cabinets, bringing in both texture and warmth. In the kitchen, the design features white cabinetry with white countertops for a bright and airy feel. A wood-colored cabinet hood will provide a striking contrast and add visual interest to the space. We’re excited to bring this vision to life!
Upcoming Projects: New Spec Homes in Catawba Pointe
We’re excited to be breaking ground soon on two new spec homes in our Catawba Pointe community in Hickory, NC. Both homes will be available as lot-home packages, offering thoughtfully designed layouts in a beautiful, growing neighborhood.

July’s Employee Spotlight
In July, we featured Dylan Lingerfelt in our Employee Spotlight. As one of our skilled carpenters, Dylan brings dedication and craftsmanship to every project. His favorite project so far has been the Palmer Addition & Remodel in Banner Elk, where he helped add a garage, bedroom, and bathroom and transformed a crawlspace into a full media room. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys hunting, fishing, racing, and spending time with his family.
